Atkins
Dr. Robert Atkins introduced the most well-known low-carb diet, the Atkins diet, more than 20 years ago and its popularity skyrocketed. It promises fast weight loss while allowing you to eat all the eggs, meat, dairy products and fats you want.
The problem with this diet is that it’s high in protein and has no carbohydrates. Some may actually experience problems with their health such as elevated cholesterol, kidney issues and osteoporosis.
Although experts rated it a strong performer in short-term weight loss, they gave it lower marks when considering whether it’s nutritious, safe, and easy to follow.
This diet was rated 2.3 out of 5.0.

Good point! Yes, I agree on the idea of diet that “this MUST be a lifestyle change”. If you just do the crash diets it’ll only result to some sort of disease. Thanks for sharing posts like this and making more people aware. 🙂
I like the part “With your new eating habits, you can eat everything – really! – but in smaller portions and in moderation.” This is very true. It does take time though to shrink your stomach so you won’t feel hungry all the time. Here is a great program I found that lets you eat anything you want, and you only have to do a slight workout 15 minutes per day.
Also, where was the Special K diet? It wasn’t on the list.
If the diet wasn’t on the list, it’s because it didn’t make the list as most effective. There are soooo many out there!
