Mayo Clinic Diet
A team at the Mayo Clinic developed a weight-loss plan that uses “common sense” approach to losing weight. The diet includes eating a healthy breakfast and at least four servings of fruits and vegetables a day. Choose your meats with the least amount of fat possible and only consume 3 ounces of meat per day. Include whole grains in your meals, and like almost all diets, cut out alcohol and added sugars.
The Mayo Clinic Diet also insists on at least 30 minutes of exercise a day to maintain a healthy metabolism. This diet is considered by dieticians and doctors alike to be one of the most successful. Sounds to me like this diet is simply eating healthy.

Good point! Yes, I agree on the idea of diet that “this MUST be a lifestyle change”. If you just do the crash diets it’ll only result to some sort of disease. Thanks for sharing posts like this and making more people aware. 🙂
I like the part “With your new eating habits, you can eat everything – really! – but in smaller portions and in moderation.” This is very true. It does take time though to shrink your stomach so you won’t feel hungry all the time. Here is a great program I found that lets you eat anything you want, and you only have to do a slight workout 15 minutes per day.
Also, where was the Special K diet? It wasn’t on the list.
If the diet wasn’t on the list, it’s because it didn’t make the list as most effective. There are soooo many out there!
