Brad Womack chose Emily Maynard! Chantal O’Brien was not given the final rose and was heartbroken.
Reality Steve who has been writing Bachelor spoilers on his blog, was right!
Brad finally was able to profess his love for Emily after being in love with her for quite a while on the show.
On After the Final Rose ceremony, it was revealed that Brad and Emily have already had their issues. They had even planned to be married today but postponed the wedding!
Why the issues?
Emily said she had anxiety watching the show every Monday night, and was troubled by seeing Brad’s relationships with the other women.
Emily is also concerned about Brad’s temper, which his family has warned her about. She even went as far as to state on After the Final Rose that she is not ready to move with her daughter to Austin, Texas!
I can understand the feelings they both must be having… not seeing each other for over a month, watching Brad interact with other women on television, and being secretly engaged. It’s no wonder they’ll have to adjust to the real world.
But, Emily says she is in love with Brad and sees herself getting married to him. And Brad says he’s more in love with her than with any woman in his entire life.
When Emily appeared on After The Final Rose, she wasn’t wearing the engagement ring!
At the end of the show, he finally present the ring to her – he had to get it re-sized to fit her! Or maybe even get her a new style, not sure because it didn’t look like the same ring.
I think Brad and Emily will last. Do you?

I’m a full-time working mom. I’m out of the home and away from my children 10 hours a day, five days a week. I choose to work for a variety of reasons that are complex and important to me and to my family. When I’m at work I obviously miss them, it’s difficult to be away from my children so much.
As hard as it is to be away from my boys, it’s also incredibly challenging to manage our time and various family responsibilities. While there is no specific formula to make it work, and I’m convinced that perfect balance is impossible, there are a few things I’ve learned that can help make a working mom’s life a little bit more manageable.
Here are the five P’s of highly effective working moms:

Plan
Organization is critical; without it everything falls apart. Weeknights are all about routine: dinner, clean-up, bath time, homework and play time and then prep for the next morning. I do a weekly meal plan so I know what to expect each night and can get all my groceries on the weekend. The goal is to avoid making unnecessary trips to the grocery store on a weeknight. I take out the kids and my clothes at night to minimize the morning rush and lunches are always made the night before.
Prioritize
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that it’s impossible to do it all. So I pick and choose. That goes for the activities we sign the kids up for and the commitments I make for myself. Whereas I used to say yes to everything, I know have to think carefully through the promises I make otherwise I might regret over-extending myself.
In reality, I don’t think it’s an all or nothing or a choice of one thing over another. I think it’s all about moderation. Focusing on what needs to be done, doing it when it needs to, but allowing responsibility to slip when you need to so that you can regain your equilibrium or focus on your family.
Protect
I protect me-time, for quiet reflection and to enjoy my own hobbies and interests. It helps me to regenerate and to be able to keep going. But I also protect time for us to be together as a family, alone and doing nothing but enjoying each other’s company, free of distraction and responsibilities.
Be present
The time that I do have with my children between the daycare pick-up and bedtime, is limited and fleeting. I believe in the adage that quality is just as important as quantity so I try to make the most of that time by talking with them, giving and receiving plenty of hugs and cuddles and fully engaging with their activities as much as I can.
Make peace
Motherhood can be a difficult place. Add all the roles that we play, and it can be easy to become overwhelmed. The single most important thing I’ve learned as a working mom is to make peace with the fact that I won’t be able to do it all. I forgive myself the hard days, the frustrations and the insecurities and make peace with the fact that, for now, life is just busy.

With spring in the air, I don’t think I’m alone in feeling the itch for travel. What better way to prepare for an adventure, or become inspired to take that one trip you’ve been wanting to go on, than a good travel film. They may not all be about going on a trip per se, but all of them are filled with adventure, beautiful scenery and a hint of inspiration.
So, without further ado, here is my list of my Top 10 Best Travel Movies:
Into the Wild
This is one of my favourite travel films to date. Not only is Emile Hirsh beyond fantastic in this role but the fact that it’s based on a true story makes the inspiration and excitement even stronger. The people he meets, the things he sees and the fulfillment he gets from finally living his dream of roaming America should nag at your need to travel probably more than you’ll be able to bear…as long as you don’t mind sad endings.
The Goonies
I had to put this one in here. I know that they don’t really “travel” but this movie is easily one of the best adventure films to date. I think it is especially relevant with March break coming up and kids starting to look in the garage at their dusty bikes just waiting for the snow to melt. Everyone dreams a big, fun adventure with pirate ships and sword play – this one will make you smile but also help kindle the travel fire.
The Beach
A little but more intense but you really cannot deny the beauty that is the landscape in this movie. That alone is why I decided to include this in my favourite travel movies: its’ stunning. Just looking at the beach and that water makes me ready to break out the swim suit and buy sunscreen.
Eat Pray Love
Adding a little love into the mix! I think this is one of my new favourite romance/travel movies. I mean, how much more straight forward can a travel movie be when it’s about a woman who spends an entire year living in three very different places: Italy, India and Bali? Who doesn’t daydream about a little spring fling when the birds start to chirp in the morning? No? Well, if not, maybe the beautiful scenery and the different cultures will keep you busy while this lady tries to find the love that’s right for her while wandering the globe. You have to respect and maybe even envy her get-up-and-go mentality.
The Motorcycle Diaries
Getting on a motorcycle with your best friend and heading on the open road…’nough said! This is beyond a solid piece of cinema. It doesn’t really need all the travel in it to be watchable but it’s a lovely bonus, plus this is definitely a trip of a life time type of movie. Not only is their journey inspirational enough as it is but then on they go to help head a revolution. Now that’s what I call a successful trip!
The Darjeeling Limited
A little bit off the beaten path, this travel film is full of laughs while taking you on a tour of a different culture and beautiful country. It’s the adventure of a life time and definitely perfect for all types of travelers as each character has their own little personal quirks. This is probably one of the best movies that really shows you how travel can change you if you let it. All travel talk aside, this film is fantastic and doesn’t even need the location to make it worth the watch…but it doesn’t hurt.

By now, you might be weary and tired of the co-sleeping debate but I want to share my thoughts on the CNN fiasco.
Recently my friend Alexandria Durrell tweeted out that CNN was doing a feature about co-sleeping and needed some families to be interviewed. Long story short, it worked out with our schedules that CNN would come to my house and interview me for the piece.
The segment ended up being called “Extreme Parenting”. I didn’t know this would be the title of the piece at first, so when I saw it, I had a problem with it. Perhaps to some, co-sleeping is ‘extreme’ but to me, and many parents, it is absolutely normal.
The report showed three families who co-sleep for various reasons but the bottom line is that it works for them. However, the expert in the story, Dr. Shapiro, stated that children after two years of age should be in their own beds so they can learn autonomy.
Unfortunately the segment was too short and did not present any of the benefits of co-sleeping. The expert didn’t offer any real expertise either. The commentary at the end with Kyra Phillips was also disheartening. Although she herself is expecting twins, she already has said no to the possibility of co-sleeping. The reporter, Stephanie Elam, has a seven-month-old daughter seemed to be the only one who was sort of understanding and non-judgmental.
I know CNN was attempting to go the route of “extreme parenting” for ratings but still, it would’ve been nice to show a doctor who would have presented the positive aspects of co-sleeping.
In my house, co-sleeping or bed sharing sort of happens. The kids usually fall asleep in their own beds but either wake up and come to our room, or one of us goes to theirs. Often we’ll wake up in the morning and won’t remember how we got there. It’s a fun game of musical beds and as long as we’re all getting sleep, it doesn’t matter to us.
As for intimacy between me and my husband? To put it bluntly – we still have it and often! Do people only have sex right before bed and IN bed? If so, this is news to me! When you have kids, you sorta need to get creative! Spontaneity is probably the only way some couples can get any.
Are my kids autonomous? Heck ya! They are strong-willed, independent boys who happen to enjoy snuggles. If my child wakes up and wants mommy or daddy, how can I possibly deprive them of that?
In no time, my boys will be teenagers and I will miss this stage and all the hugs and cuddles. So I’m enjoying every moment of it while I can.

Skippy’s manufacturer, Unilever United States Inc., announced the recall Friday, saying it is being conducted in cooperation with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. There has been no escaping of Charlie Sheen the last few days.
After Two and a Half Men filming was halted and announced on February 25th, it has been a whirlwind of Sheen’s meltdowns and rantings.
On the night of March 1st, Sheen’s twin sons were removed from his Beverly Hills home by police after a restraining order was issued by Brooke Mueller against the actor.
In the document, she stated: “I am very concerned that [Sheen] is currently insane. I am in great fear that he will find me and attack me, and I am in great fear for the children’s safety while in his care.”
According to Mueller, Sheen arrived at her home on Saturday and took the twins without her permission. When she tried to get the boys back from him, he threatened her. Allegedly, he told her: “I will cut your head off, put it in a box and send it to your mom.” Sheen has denied making this comment.
After the children were removed from the home, Sheen explained that he assumed the boys would be returned to their mother’s home, but later was told that the boys were taken to a hotel in Santa Monica.
When Sheen appeared on the Today Show the next morning, he said:
“I stayed very calm and focused.” To his sons he said, “I love you. Don’t say ‘goodbye’. Say ‘see you later’.”
On ABC’s 20/20, journalist Andrea Canning jumped right in to the explosive interview where Sheen spoke about his rampant drug use and his “goddesses”.
Sheen said the last time he took drugs to about a month ago when he “probably took more than anyone could survive.” He claims he was “bangin’ 7-gram rocks and finishing them because that’s how I roll. I have one speed, one gear … go!” Sheen even took a drug test to prove to 20/20 and the world that he is not using drugs right now.
Sheen is very much aware that people think he’s crazy. But he says, “It’s not an act.” In this week’s People cover story, he says: “Here’s the good news: If I realize that I’m insane, then I’m okay with it. I’m not dangerous insane.”
“I’m not interested in addiction, disease, all that crap. Twenty years they took from me. I just decided that I was going to think differently, that I was not going to believe anything I’d been taught,” he said.
Sheen’s media blitz continued Friday night (March 4th) on Dateline NBC.
Dateline showed never-before-seen home video footage from the actor’s private life. NBC crews and Jeff Rossen were allowed inside his estate to get an exclusive look at his home life with his kids and his two girlfriends.
Sheen discussed his current family situation and his reactions to the recent media frenzy surrounding his lifestyle and the halted production of Two and a Half Men.
One home video showed Sheen and his entourage sitting around his dining room table, strategizing a marketing campaign surrounding his latest media craze.
They are capitalizing on the recent events, talking about merchandise including t-shirts, etc.
Since Sheen joined Twitter and gained a whopping million followers within a day, breaking records, he has quickly become his own media mogul.
And Sheen sees the potential for big bucks.
Already merchandise companies jumped at profiting from Sheen’s media madness, creating new products with Charlie Sheen on T-shirts, ecards, even coffee mugs.
Even Jimmy Fallon did a brilliant impersonation of Sheen.
So who is winning? I think Sheen definitely is – for now. I do hope that Sheen gets the help he needs.

I like food. No, scratch that, I love food. LOVE. I love buying it, I love cooking it, I love photographing it, and most of all I love eating it (as my three stints with Weight Watchers can attest to). My love affair with food started early, like, before Kindergarten (I ate my cereal while watching Yan Can Cook, remember that show?). My grandma would get me to help her in the kitchen – baking cakes, making soup, taste testing (totally my favourite part) and stirring as much as my little arms could take. I had an Easy Bake Oven waaaay before the manufacturer’s suggested age and baked my very own cake in the oven all by myself when I was 7.
My mom was a cook for the first 18 years of my life. She cooked all day for other people and by the time she got home she was too tired and too sick of cooking to make dinner some nights, so I started making dinner for our family when I was in high school. I loved it! I flipped through magazines and cookbooks (no internet then, I’m old yo!) and watched cooking shows on TV looking for new ideas and recipes.
So with all that you’d think I went into the Culinary Arts in college right? Nope, my artistic side called and I became a Graphic Designer. I continued to cook and bake whenever I could and when I met my husband I won his heart with my Barbeque Baked Ribs and Hand Cut Fries (still his favourite meal!). A little voice in my head had been nagging at me to try out cooking professionally, so I took a job in a restaurant and after only a couple of months I became the sous chef. Restaurant kitchens are stressful and political (there’s a reason why Gordon Ramsey is always in such a bad mood!) and my days there left me not only physically exhausted but also emotionally drained. Back to designing professionally and “cooking for fun” it was.
Then blogging became popular, and my love of showing off my confections finally had an outlet! I started my blog and it has been so fun trying new recipes and sharing them with the world. My four year old, Lily, has been watching me cook and bake and her interest in helping has been ignited. She wants to help stir and pour and, of course, taste test.
Kids are way more capable than we give them credit for, and the more we involve them in the kitchen the more they’re willing to try new foods. Lily loves helping out on Pizza Night. In fact, the whole family has a hand in Pizza night. I make the dough and prepare all the ingredients, my husband rolls out the dough and “makes” the pizza and Lily gets to help him by placing the pepperoni on (more go in her mouth than on the pizza but whatev) and then she helps sprinkle on the cheese. She’s always so proud of it when it’s done and we make sure to tell her how yummy it is!
Pizza night is an easy and fun way to get your whole family into the kitchen and cooking. If you don’t have time to make your own dough, most grocery stores sell frozen balls of dough in their freezer sections or you can use Naan or Greek pitas and everyone can make their own! The point is to have fun in the kitchen and build lasting, special memories, like the ones I have of cooking alongside my Grandma.
Happy cooking!
Homemade Garlic & Herb Pizza Dough
1 1/2 c warm water (80-90˚F)
3 tbsp vegetable or canola oil
3 3/4 c all purpose flour
1 tsp salt
3 tsp bread maker yeast for pizza (if not using a breadmaker use quick-rise)
3 tsp sugar
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tbsp granulated garlic
1 tsp Italian seasoning or oregano
Instructions
1. Add ingredients in the order they appear and mix on the dough setting of your breadmaker. If you don’t have a breadmaker, you can use a stand or hand mixer with dough hooks or a food processor with a dough blade (you will need to allow the dough to rise in a warm place until doubled, punch it down and allow it to rise a second time).
2. Check the dough after about 5 minutes to see if it’s too wet or too dry. Add either flour or a bit of water to help with consistency. If you touch the dough and you get it stuck on your finger you need to add a bit of flour (1 tbsp at a time), if it isn’t forming into ball nicely, add a teeny bit of water.
3. Turn out dough onto a lighly floured work surface and allow to rest under a tea towel for 5 minutes.
4. Roll dough out to size on a pizza stone or pizza sheet.
5. Bake for 8 minutes in a preheated 400˚F oven.
6. Remove and top with sauce and your favourite toppings.
7. Return to the oven and cook for an addtional 16 minutes.
8. Remove from the oven and allow to sit for 5 minutes before cutting and serving.
