Harry Potter
Yes, the final chapter has come to a close in the biggest franchise to ever grace this muggle earth. That being said, it gives you even more of a reason to go back and watch Harry, Ron and Hermione grow up before your eyes and within two hour time slots. It’s a beautiful thing when you have 7 movies in a row and can hear and see when exactly each character hit puberty. Awe, Harry Potter. The greatest weekend escape that you can enjoy from your living room.
Indiana Jones
Harrison Ford. ‘Nough said. But really, Harrison Ford’s dad is Sean Connery. Come on! You can’t get much more amazing than that. You don’t have to include the new one in your marathon but maybe when it’s past midnight and you are looking for some laughs you could add it in. The first three are some of the best cinema ever created. No one, and I mean no one, hates Indiana Jones. If they do I’m pretty sure the North and South pole will switch over night. You are warned! Reminder: Harrison Ford.
The Lord of the Rings
Be-still my heart and my adrenaline, these films are beyond the best thing since sliced bread. You could go original or if you really have a full day to spare and no friends (or Ringers for friends) you can go extended and disappear into the wonderfully delicious world of Middle Earth. Sigh. The best waste of time that was ever wasted. Thank you, Peter Jackson.
