Why You Will Love Your Next Vacation with Costco Travel

This post is in proud partnership with Costco Travel. As always, the opinions stated herein are my own.

If there’s one thing I wish I could do more of, it’s travelling. Exploring a new destination is both exciting and inspiring; seeing new sights and landscapes help reinvigorate our spirit, helping us to appreciate the world around us.  Travel makes me feel more connected to the earth and the universe. Even though I’m visiting from somewhere far from home, and though the surroundings are different, I feel like I’m more a part of the world we live in. Although the culture, language, and people are different, you’ll find yourself feeling a deeper sense of connection as a global citizen.

Travelling to a new destination also helps us to reflect on our lives, assess our personal goals, and let’s face it, have some much needed “me” time away from our daily responsibilities. Taking a break from your regular routine is essential to fully relax, recharge and rejuvenate.

As a mom with a family of four, travelling often is a luxury. So when I’m researching a family vacation, I am looking for great deals. Did you know Costco Members can receive added value when booking car rentals, vacation packages, and cruises?

Did you know about Costco travel vacation packages?

Costco Travel offers a selection of vacations in the world’s top destinations, hotels, and cruises to suit your wanderlust and your budget. Costco Travel also offers its members theme park tickets, car rentals, and travel insurance.  What impressed me by Costco Travel packages is the variety of holidays they offer, so much more than Canadian favourites in the Caribbean and Mexico. Costco Travel Vacation Package offerings include exotic destinations such as Costa Rica, Cook Islands, Hawaii, Tahiti, as well as Africa and Europe – not to mention a wide variety of cruises.

Here are some of my top picks of Costco travel vacation packages!

London and Paris: Your Way

Leave the kids with the grandparents and cross the pond with your loved one to celebrate a special birthday or anniversary in ! Visit London’s Westminster Abbey and Kensington Palace, as well as Paris’ iconic Eiffel Tower. You’ll enjoy three-course meals, room upgrades and food credits all included in this dreamy, European package.

Dominican Republic: Barcelo Bavaro Palace Package

This sits on beautiful property right in the middle of a coconut plantation directly on the beach. The resort features 1,402 rooms, with views of the water or The Lakes Barceló golf course. The property is located on a pristine beachfront and is protected by a coral reef that calms the water and is ideal for swimming. Hotel features include four swimming pools, water activities, a spa, a 24-hour casino, 11 restaurants. retail shops, and for the kids, a water park and Children’s Club

Maui: Wailea Beach Resort – Marriott, Maui Buyer’s Choice Package

Aloha! Looking for something more exotic in Hawaii? The is situated on 22 acres on the water’s edge. This Hawaiian paradise is family friendly with comfortable accommodations, five pools (one with a waterslide), and plenty of activities for families. This resort sprawls between two white-sand beaches, offering access to swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, and a short stroll to world-class shopping, golf, and tennis. Children can enjoy the resort’s kids club, a movie house, games room, life-size chess, and sand art.

Kirkland Signature Triple Denali Land + Sea Tour – #D2C

Coined America’s Last Frontier, Alaska is the ultimate in vast, rugged, uninhabited wilderness.  This natural beauty state can be enjoyed while hiking, paddling, and fishing in the great outdoors from Vancouver to Seward with a front-row seat to glacier-draped mountains, marine life and stunning sunsets. Then explore the interior of Alaska for four nights as you visit Anchorage and Denali, home to grizzly bears, wolves, reindeer, elk, and other animals.

Why Costco Travel?

Costco Travel sells exclusively to Costco members, so you know you’re getting a good deal on packages. Costco uses their buying authority to negotiate the best value on Costco vacation packages, and are able to add in extra perks such as daily breakfast, food and beverage credits, resort activities, airport transfers, and more. Certain packages include extras like resort credits, room upgrades, or Costco Cash cards.

Great Deals and No Hidden Fees

When you’re looking to book, you won’t be surprised at checkout by hidden fees. Costco’s upfront pricing for packages and rental cars means that the price quoted reflects all included taxes. You’ll be able to see the total price throughout the booking process, so you can easily see any changes as you customize your vacation package, and you won’t be shocked by unexpected charges after you book.

Executive Members Earn 2% Reward

For Executive Member purchases made directly from Costco Travel, a 2% Reward (up to $1,000 CAD) will be earned on qualified purchases and applied after travel is completed. Must be an Executive Member when travel starts. Annual 2% Reward certificate for Executive Members is sent by Costco at membership renewal. For complete details, see the membership counter or visit here.

As an added bonus, bring your Capital One Costco Mastercard with you on your travels as it gives you 3% on restaurant purchases, 2% on gas purchases and up to 1% on all your other purchases. Beats other travel credit cards!

How to Create a Costco Travel Account

Even though you’re already a Costco Member, you will need to register an account at Costco Travel. After you’ve registered, you can log in to your profile at any time to view your bookings and print itineraries.

  1. Enter your Costco membership number

As a Costco Partner, I’m so excited to announce that I’m going on a Costco Vacation! I’m whisking my dear friend away for a much-needed “momcation” to Costa Rica!

We are being treated to the Costco Travel Guanacaste .

I’ll be sharing so much more in the coming weeks so be sure to follow along on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and of course, right here on the blog. I’ll be live-sharing on social during my trip, and you’ll want to be following along there too *hint*!

Costco will soon be announcing an incredible contest you will not want to miss!
