I have picked up a new hobby – painting furniture. Refinishing and painting furniture can breathe new life into an outdated piece, bringing it from old and boring to modern and contemporary.
So I’m thrilled to join a talented group of women to share our Furniture Refresh projects on a monthly basis!
Furniture Refresh
I am teaming up with five other fabulous bloggers for our first ever Monthly Furniture Refresh Challenge! A big thank you to Michele at Shelstring for organizing this fun challenge. As you know, my new hobby is refinishing furniture. I love breathing new life into old furniture. These other bloggers enjoy it too, so please do visit their links to see what they’ve come up with.
Painting Furniture
How easy is it to paint furniture? It’s surprisingly easy, depending on the paint you use. Chalk Paint™ decorative paint by Annie Sloan doesn’t require any sanding or priming. It’s easy to use, quick to dry and can use the paint with a variety of paint techniques. It has a velvety, ultra matte finish and comes in an array of gorgeous colours.
I needed a new foyer table and knew that I would like to find a used piece to refinish. After some searching, I found this antique front hall table and decided to paint it in Old White.
Here is the before piece:

I hope you enjoyed this challenge as much as we enjoyed participating! Come back every first Friday of the month for our Renew*Refresh*Restyle Furniture Challenge.
