Like I need another hour in the day, I’ve picked up a new hobby – painting furniture. Refinishing and/or painting furniture can breathe new life into an outdated piece, bringing it from old and boring to modern and contemporary.
Chalk Paint™ by Annie Sloan is a versatile paint that would work beautifully on furniture without priming or sanding. It’s easy to use, quick to dry and can use the paint with a variety of paint techniques. It has a velvety, ultra matte finish and comes in an array of gorgeous colours.
How easy is it to paint furniture? So easy! You can use Chalk Paint™ decorative paint by Annie Sloan to reveal the grain in wood creates a classic rustic look with an ultra-thin layer of paint, or paint a piece of furniture several coats for a smooth finish. Or you can achieve a vintage look, or a rustic chipped look – depending on the furniture you are refinishing.
I needed a new foyer table and knew that I would like to find a used piece to refinish. After some searching, I found this antique front hall table.
After looking through the Chalk Paint™ colours, I knew I wanted to do a vintage look on this piece. My hallway is quite narrow so I wanted a lighter colour to open up the space. So I decided on Old White.
