OBX Trio/Outer Banks Wine Beer & Cheese Bar
I absolutely loved the concept of this unique wine, beer and cheese bar and shop. OBX Trio, a retail and tasting destination, is the next step in the continued evolution of the original business concept. OBX Trio offers extensive selection of wines from around the world, 250+ beers with a focus on microbrews, and over 50 artisanal cheeses hand cut to order.
Taste and serve yourself at the various self-serve wine stations, and order from the fabulous menu. Before leaving, buy yourself a bottle of wine and some cheese to go!

Koru Village Spa and Beach Klub Resort in Avon
Located in the heart of the Cape Hatteras National Seashore, the Koru Village’s Adventure Resort serves as the epicenter for renewal of health and wellness on the Outer Banks. After a long day of sunbathing on the beach (soooo tiring!), or doing one of the many water activities in the area, getting pampered is a nice addition to a vacation.
Koru offers a spa, salon, fitness center, yoga studio, massage and more. I was treated to a lovely Swedish massage, which went by way too quickly!

Studio 12
Paint pottery, create a mosaic or do glass fusion in this colourful and creative spot in Hatteras. Studio 12 offers special classes to do sea glass jewelry, mermaid rings and glass fusion sun catchers. Kids and kids at heart will have a great time on a rainy afternoon, or after a day on the beach. The shop also has a gallery filled with great locally made art from over 35 different artists. I made this beautiful glass souvenir.

Red Sky Café
Red Sky Cafe isn’t just your ordinary bistro or café, no! Red Sky Cafe has the most creative meals that feature all the local fare that makes the Outer Banks so special. Chef Wes Stepp takes pride in serving up gorgeous platters featuring local seafood, poultry, beef, and duck (to name a few). In addition to providing a casual, gourmet feel when you are dining in the restaurant, Stepp’s competent team can also cook for you and your guests right in your home or vacation home. Red Sky Cafe is also known as a premier caterer in the Outer Banks region.

Bodie Island Light House
Climb the Bodie Island Light House! After undergoing major renovations to restore the famed lighthouse, the National Park Service now allow limited climbing access. This 156-foot tall horizontally-striped beacon opened to the public in April 2013.
