Enjoy holiday time but be responsible – don’t drink and drive and take a cab!

During December, the LCBO’s “Deflate the Elephant” campaign is partnering with Co-op Cabs and Cabcom (the advertisements on the top of cabs) in Toronto to encourage people to plan ahead and get home safely this holiday season.

Every Saturday, starting December 8 until December 29, from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m., there will be a small number of specially outfitted cabs in Toronto with a large lit up elephant sign on the roof. If people spot these special cabs, and hop in, passengers will receive $10 off their ride.

Also, if you spot an elephant cab in the city, take a pic and share on Twitter with the hashtag #TOelephantsighting, you’ll have a chance to win a holiday hosting gift basket.

Avoid having guests drink and drive at your holiday party or after a night on the town and all a Co-op Cab.

The Deflate the Elephant campaign website has great hosting tips with mocktail recipes and other important information about being a responsible host this season. They also have an app that includes a game your guests can play to test if they’ve had too much to drink to drive home.

Win a gift basket valued at $200!
