Do you remember the Teletubbies? They burst into the children’s scene in the 1990s, and became a huge sensation. It was a British TV show aimed at pre-schoolers that ran from 1997 to 2001. The unusual Teletubbies were comprised of 4 alien-like characters, each with their own unique colour and catchphrase.

I remember the show being a kooky show about these playful characters who lived in a whimsical land where the Voice Trumpets and the narrator would call the Teletubbies to go back to the Tubbytronic Superdome while the Sun Baby sets.

The Teletubbies, AKA Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa and Po, are officially 20 years old! Yes, this year marks the 20th Anniversary of Teletubbies, one of the most iconic children’s brands of all time.

Join us in celebrating “20 Years of Big Hugs” with the Teletubbies!

What’s new? The re-imagined Teletubbies series is airing on Family Jr. every day at 8am EST. Then, stay tuned for an all-new second season coming to Family Jr. this July.

  11. I would love to win this for my youngest son. Teletubbies were huge when our oldest son was born (he’s 17) but he didn’t like the show at all, he was all about Blue’s Clues. My niece who was two years older than him was totally obsessed with the Teletubbies and wouldn’t wach anything else.
