How can a family watch various television shows and movies simultaneously, and have parental control?
Shomi has tons of great kids’ TV shows jam-packed with characters they love, as well, there is a great selection of fun movies the whole family can enjoy on at least two devices at the same time. The streaming service has several family-friendly features, including giving parents the ability to restrict their kids’ access to shows, and setting up separate profiles to see what their kids are watching.
There won’t be any fighting over the remote control because each Shomi subscription can accommodate six individual profiles and can stream on two devices simultaneously, plus set-top-boxes for Rogers and Shaw cable subscribers. So while the kids are watching their show on one device or a TV, Mom and Dad can enjoy a movie or show in another room, including exclusive titles like Vikings and Sons of Anarchy.
Based on what your children prefer watching, Shomi then recommends other shows and movies that they may enjoy. When you create your children’s’ profiles, Shomi makes sure that only age-appropriate content shows up in searches, recommendations, and homepage spotlight feeds. Each family member can browse, stream, and build his/her own “Shomi later” list.

I am sure my kids would love to stream some of these shows. Right now we are on a phineas and Ferb kick, but the shows they like rotate.
This is a great idea stream movie for teens …never heard of shomi the kids would love this would love to share with friends.
Protecting our kids from seemingly limitless offensive material on television is one of the most concerning problems parents deal with. Shomi sounds like something of a life saver!
What an awesome way to give the kids access to some great family-friendly programs. These are some really good shows and movies.
It would sure be nice to have these. So many shows are really bad influence these days and makes for untimely discussions about more grown-up matters with kids that are not yet of age. Thanks for sharing!
This is really great for the kids. I never heard shomi before but it looks good on the kids
No fighting over shows? ohooo I could have used that when my two oldest boys were smaller. 🙂
Great idea. This would make it easier for parents to let their kids watch age-appropriate shows. I haven’t heard of Shomi before but I will make sure to check it out.
This is perfect! We stream so much, and I am always looking for good kids entertainment. Thanks!
I’ve never heard of this one before, but I would love a streaming channel that is just for kids. And these are some of my kids favorite shows.
I like that it can be limited, as my son with special needs like to try and browse everything when he gets the iPad. Looks like a wonderful service for kids and parents.
Sounds like an interesting system. Right now, my children use the children profile of Netflix. They get to see child-only programming there too, but they don’t have Dora.
Great for teens!
I’ve never tried Shomi before. I’ll definitely check it out, my son streams just about everything he watches.
