How many hours a week do you spend in the kitchen, cooking meals and cleaning up? As a busy mom with a hectic schedule, I’m often flustered with dinner time… planning, shopping, preparing, cooking and then clean up. I welcome any appliance and recipe that makes my life a little easier.
If I can reduce the amount of time spent in the kitchen, I’m all over it. My husband works late hours so I do most of the cooking during the week. I do enjoy cooking, but sometimes mama needs a little break! It’s a challenge to prepare delicious meals the whole family will enjoy, fast and simplified – every night of the week. It becomes exhausting.
What’s your Mother’s Day tradition? Do your kids make you breakfast in bed? Does hubby prepare you a lovely lunch? Or do you go to your favourite restaurant for brunch or dinner?
Going out for lunch or dinner on Mother’s Day is ideal, however, the restaurants are usually packed. A nice meal prepared at home by the kids and the husband would be appreciated. With the Philips Airfryer, preparing a meal for mom is easy peasy.
The Philips Airfryer is just that – it cooks and fries your food with hot air, which means you can enjoy the fried taste of cooking without all of the oil. Using Rapid Air Technology, you can fry, bake, grill, broil, braise and caramelize your food in less time and right on your counter-top.
The adjustable temperature control up to 390 degrees allows you to cook a variety of food. It has a 1.8 lb cooking basket capacity which is enough for a family of four, but because it cooks so quickly, you can cook several batches in no time. It also has a 30-minute timer with ready signal and auto shut-off, so you don’t have to keep your eye on it diligently, as you would if you’re grilling. Clean up is a snap; the basket comes out so you can wash and the bucket is also washable and dishwasher safe.
The Philips Airfryer comes with a recipe book to help inspire you – you can cook spring rolls, chicken wings, frittatas, even desserts! Also available is the new XL Digital Airfryer, which has 2.65 lb cooking capacity for larger families. It retails for $249.00 – $299.00, and is available at Hudson’s Bay, Williams-Sonoma, Bed Bath & Beyond, Home Outfitters, Home Hardware, Amazon.ca, Costco.ca, Best Buy and Future Shop.
Well guess what?!? The lovely people at Philips are giving an amotherworld reader a Philips Airfryer of their very own!
The Philips Mother’s Day Giveaway, valued at $350, will include:

No mother’s day traditions =- just take them as they come. I would love to win this for myself as we are trying to eat better but still love our “fried” food.
I would love this for my mom!

Our mothers day tradition is to have brunch with the mothers in the family. I would love to win this for myself and my hubby since we don’t have a traditional fryer and have been holding out for one these new types of healthy fryers.
I always make my mom dinner. This would be for me to make healthier meals for my family.
No real traditions as my children are go. We mainly play it by ear now. I’d love to win this because at 53, I’m trying to eat a lot healthier and cutting down on the fats is ideal!
We would go out for high tea!
My family gets me hanging flower baskets as a tradition and such a nice way to welcome Spring! I love them!
I am being totally honest and somewhat SELFISH which is rare, ask my husband/son. Would love to indulge in a recipe I found online for Deep Fried Chicken & Deep Fried Zucchini Sticks. Got both ingredients just don’t have the appliance. Great Giveaway.

My kids are kinda young (13, 12, 10, 3 & 2) so we don’t really have any Mother’s Day traditions. The kids usually clean up the house and make me breakfast in bed with a homemade card.
The only mothers day tradition we have is to celebrate mothers by spending extra time with them. Visiting, going out for dinner, or doing an activity together. It’s the time spent together that counts.
we go out to brunch & for my whole family
I would like to win it for my parents because they have always wanted this!
Mother’s day traditions for me involve making brunch every year.
I’d want to win this for myself, seems it would be a slightly healthier way to prepare fried foods.
We do not have a tradition, I do not live by my family so I call my mom on Mother’s Day. As for me and my kiddies…it varies. I would give it to my husband so we could start a fry tradition.
Not really any traditions. I guess we try and go out for supper that day. I would like to win this for both my wife and I to enjoy.
Fast food for mothers day, gives us all a break from cooking ! I have always wanted to try these air frying, but afraid to purchase incase I don’t like it LOL
Brunch on Mother’s Day is our tradition. I would definitely give this to my mom.
We always take my Mother in law to brunch for Mother’s Day. I’d love to win this so I can make some of our favourite foods a bit healthier for us. 🙂
