Over the long weekend, my family and I went on a whirlwind trip to charming Quebec City. Expedia.ca helped me with choosing the right hotel with all the amenities that we need for our family.
After searching the hotels, and viewing prices along with hotel ratings, we chose Hotel Manoir Victoria. The reviews for this four-star hotel, and the fact that the hotel is family friendly, convinced me it was the best accommodations in Quebec City for our family.
Built in 1830, this grand, Victorian hotel in historic Old Québec is just a short walk to many attractions including Notre-Dame Basilique, La Citadel, Planes d’Abraham, Musée de l’Amérique Francophone and Artillery Park. A leisurely stroll also leads to the waterfront, with restaurants, cafes and little shops along the way.
I booked a Grand Luxury Room with two queen beds through Expedia.ca, which is larger than a standard room – which is much needed when you have kids running around. Our room faced Rue St. Jean, which was quite noisy the Friday night. But we did have the best view for people watching!
Upscale rooms feature contemporary or traditional décor. All have iPod docks, flat-screen TVs, and tea and coffee machines – ours had a Keurig. The room has a mini-bar and mini-fridge; there are plenty of souvenir shops nearby to stock up on water/drinks and snacks.
Selected suites and upgraded rooms have modern ambient fireplaces, separate living areas and Nespresso coffeemakers. There’s a stylish bistro restaurant and a chic dining area for breakfast, which is an additional cost.

Other amenities include an indoor pool, a sauna and a spa, as well as an exercise room. The indoor pool is a decent size; there is a lifeguard on duty.

Le SPA du Manoir has massage/treatment rooms, where you can be pampered with massages, facials, body wraps, and body scrubs. I didn’t have a chance to enjoy some “me-time”, which I would have welcomed after walking the city all day! If you need babysitting, there is a 24-hour front desk Babysitting or childcare for a fee.
The lobby area is large and has a lovely sitting area and library. There is also a computer with internet for guests’ use.
Because I have an account with Expedia.ca, I ended up saving 10% – which came to $94.70 savings! Valet parking is an additional $25 a day with in and out privileges, although you won’t need to drive around in the old town – you can see everything on foot!
Expedia.ca also has other great Quebec City hotels you can check out here.
Stay tuned for my next post on what we did and saw during our Quebec City family visit, and what to do in Quebec City.

That sounds like a lovely place to stay. If I ever get up that way, I will definitely stay there.
I have never been to that part of the world but that is on our “go to” list for hubby and I in the near future. I will have to write this down as a destination stop.
Expedia is a great way to save on hotel rooms. Unless I know exactly where I want to stay, I tend to use an online service to help me get the best deal.
I really enjoyed looking at the pictures! Those are all enough to convince one to stay there with her family. The rooms are spacious and I love that there’s an indoor pool! That’s really fun.
The place looks absolutely fantastic for any taste! You have some great shots, I like the hall one. Outside, it pretty much looks respectable and reputable. Great recommendation!
What a beautiful hotel! I would love to visit Quebec again, I have not been there in more than 20 years!

The hotel looks nice. I have relatives in Alberta, I’m not sure if the place is near Quebec.
If I ever make it to that area, I’d love to stay there. It looks like my kind of hotel and I love how roomy the room is as well.
