With its turquoise waters and white sand beaches, Providenciales is a paradise in the Turks and Caicos Islands that has gained popularity in recent years. As you can see from my photos, the island in the northern Caribbean Sea deserves the number one spot.
When my son and I visited the Turks and Caicos islands on a press trip at Beaches Turks and Caicos Key West Village, we had the pleasure of spending some time on Grace Bay Beach. Grace Bay Beach, has been crowned the reigning champ of beaches worldwide several times.
We went out on a three-hour Island Routes Caribbean Adventures Kitty Katt cruise on a catamaran ride along the coastline. It was beautiful to see the island from this view, and see some of the private villas along the beach. The 65-ft. “Kitty Katt” catamaran cruise takes guests to one of the most stunning coral reefs, where you can snorkel and swim with brilliantly-colored fish and other surprising tropical marine life. I couldn’t partake as I was with my son, but it’s definitely something kids can do if they’re strong swimmers. Then the “Kitty Katt” sailed off to a pristine deserted cay for a quick swim, before it started to rain. Beachcombers can hunt for seashell and sand dollar keepsakes, take in the Caribbean breeze and warm sun on the beach, or fly down the “Kitty Katt’s” 8-ft. tube slide.
Other than Grace Bay Beach in Providenciales island, there are other gorgeous islands of the Turks and Caicos to explore!
North Caicos and Middle Caicos, connected by a scenic roadway, boast deserted beaches, natural sights, and the Conch Bar Caves. Grand Turk is the charming capital city of Cockburn Town, which once thrived as the vibrant center of the Turks and Caicos. Today, it’s also known for hosting the country’s sole cruise ship port, bringing a splash of excitement to its shores.
Once bustling salt producers, Salt Cay and South Caicos’ tranquil vibes offer a serene escape from the hustle and bustle. With their laid-back atmosphere and authentic charm, they’re perfect for travelers seeking a genuine Caribbean experience, away from the crowds.
