Stephan Caras showcased his Fall Winter 2014 collection at World MasterCard Fashion Week in Toronto on Friday, March 21, 2014

The tents were over-packed, it was a full house of style and fashion fans, press, designer guests and industry people.

The show was beautiful in black and raspberry pink. There were plunging necklines, structured shoulders, sexy pantsuits and short shorts, cutout dresses, peplum tops and dresses with pops of a beautiful raspberry in rich fabrics.

Of course with any Stephan Caras collection, the dresses reign supreme – beautiful ball gowns with floral embellishments and elegant volume.

Caras’ clothing makes a woman look and feel sensual, feminine and simply stunning.

Although we’re happy that our long winter now officially over, we’re jumping ahead to Fall Winter 2014 fashion. I know it seems crazy but fashion shows happen six months in advance so we’re always on top on the latest and upcoming trends.

One show that I’m always excited to see is by Joe Fresh – trendy and affordable. The Joe Fresh Fall Winter 2014 collection is inspired by the great Canadian outdoors and the spirit of winter adventure.

Joe Mimran, the Creative Director of Joe Fresh was inspired by “Canada’s mountains, wilderness and outdoor elements, particularly against the backdrop of this winter’s polar vortex that we’ve all gone through together.”

No kidding! Give us some more stylish outerwear to make it through four months of brutally cold winters, Mr. Mimran.

His collection includes oversize parkas and anoraks in an array of silhouettes and proportions. I love the contrast with the collection’s slim pants and oversize funnel neck coats.

Fax fur, chunky knits and updated sweatshirts take center stage. Colours are earthy tones like olive, lichen, and my favourites – camel and caramel.

I’m so sad to have missed the opening show of World MasterCard Toronto Fashion Week, MIZ by Izzy Camilleri.

One of Canada’s premier fashion designers and creative directors, Camilleri has generated a significant buzz in the fashion scene throughout the years. Her collections are easily wearable, polished and modern.

Izzy’s latest work is the MIZ Collection, launching for Fall 2013. This collection is geared to the female baby boomer interested in fashionable clothes that are sexy, yet comfortable and easily wearable. The line is cut with distinct considerations for this new confident woman, who isn’t interested in looking like she once did, but wants to look like the woman she’s become.

What I love most about this show is the DIVERSITY of the models – *applauding*.  So THANK YOU Ms. Camilleri for showing Fashion Week that beauty comes in different packages!

I had the pleasure of attending the #MCStylicity event hosted by MasterCard Canada for Toronto’s Fashion Week.

As the official retail program for World MasterCard Fashion Week, Stylicity consists of a network of local retailers, spas and restaurants in Toronto presenting unique offers and experiences. Through the program, consumers can explore local and national merchants and receive exclusive offers when they pay with their MasterCard. The Stylicity program and special offers run from March 14 – March 30.

I just love the buzz surrounding Toronto streets during Fashion Week. And I also love browsing in unique shops – there is something so special about shopping in a boutique, you never know what you’re going to discover! Like Canon Blanc, a little piece of Paris right on Queen West? S’il vous plaît!

I visited some lovely boutiques in Toronto and of course Tweeted and photographed my favourite things...

Got StyleGotStyle Menswear on Bathurst Street – fab and stylish!
