How to Make Chicken Wings at Home

Ingredients

40 split chicken wings

1 tablespoon cooking oil – I use grape seed oil

1 teaspoon sea salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

Sauce of choice – BBQ, Frank’s Red Hot, etc.

Ranch or blue cheese sauce for dipping

Method

Some chicken wings recipes call for mixing sauces and cooking along with the wings – but that will only leave you with burnt wings and a smoky kitchen. Also, the wings tend to be undercooked with some chicken wings recipes you find.

Instead, boil the wings thoroughly first to ensure thorough cooking. After boiling for about 20 minutes, remove and place on a parchment-lined and greased baking sheet. You need to line a large baking sheet with parchment paper – this is important. Don’t use tin foil or skip the paper or else the wings will stick, even if you grease a pan. Season chicken wings with salt and pepper.

Next, broil on low heat in the oven for about 20 minutes. Flip the wings over and broil for another 20 minutes, or until crispy.

Transfer chicken wings to a bowl. Add sauce of choice like Frank’s Buffalo sauce, and shake in bowl. Serve!
