What an amazing way to start hockey season! I had the opportunity to attend the BioSteel hockey camp with my boys on August 21, 2014 thanks to Mazda Canada as a #MazdaFan.
The BioSteel hockey camp is an annual professional hockey training camp held over several days and ends with a four-team tournament. Players participate in both on and off the ice training pre-season.
There were four teams and the four captains were Michael Cammalleri of the New Jersey Devils (Red), Tyler Seguin of the Dallas Stars (White), Wayne Simmonds (Grey) and Michael Del Zotto of the Philadelphia Flyers (Blue).
Other players who attended and trained at the BioSteel camp: Brian McGrattan, The Subban brothers – P.K., Malcolm and Jordan Subban, Chris Stewart, Michael Latta, Brett Ritchie, Jay Harrison, TJ Galiardi, Michael Dal Colle, Devante Smith-Pelly, Paul Bissonnette, Josh Ho-sang, Max Domi and more prospects. Matt Nichol coached and Walter Gretzky was also behind the bench.
The boys loved being at St. Michael’s School College Arena in Toronto, spending the morning watching the tournament for the BioSteel cup. We waited around afterwards for some photo opps and autographs.
