The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 is a mix of crazy, violent, funny and – makes fun of itself. Finally the series acknowledges its own absurdity… or as some would rather say, fantasy. Or maybe it didn’t but it was so over-the-top that you think it was planned all along.

Bella (Kristen Stewart) has now married vampire Edward (Robert Pattinson) and given birth to a beautiful child. Bella is a vampire for the first time, discovering her ‘newborn’ self and unique talents. Now, she can enjoy amazing strength and unstoppable speed – and discovers her unique gift, shielding others.

For the first time in Twilight history, Stewart is actually bearable to watch. Perhaps it was the coloured contact lenses that Stewart wore that finally put a twinkle in her eyes when she delivered her lines?

Jacob (Taylor Lautner) now has a permanent fixture in Bella’s life – he has “imprinted” on Bella’s newborn daughter, , which means he will protect and love her forever and ever and ever. And ever.

Both romantic and creepy. Oh and did I mention that Lautner not only took off his shirt but he stripped down to his underwear?! The audience squealed in delight. Ladies, remember Lautner is only 20?!

When the Volturi catch on that this child exists, the Cullens feel threatened and travel the world to find their other vampire friends to help them with their army. The multi-cultural vampire posse descends upon Cullen territory, awaiting the epic confrontation with vampire royalty and law-makers, the powerful Volturi.

It all leads up to the dramatic standoff between the Cullens, along with the werewolves, and the Volturi.

The Cullens try to convince the Volturi that Renesmee is not immortal. Alice shows a vision of the future but the Aro, the leader of the Volturi, played by the brilliant Michael Sheen, is not convinced.

In a shocking move, the war begins. It was the best action scene in the entire series. Be prepared for violence and blood – oh wait, the cold ones don’t have blood!

I won’t reveal the twist but it reminds me of a scene from a soap opera… very dramatic and yet you can’t help but snicker. I caught myself chuckling throughout the movie, at some of the lines as well as some of the over-the-top cheesiness and self-mockery. It was the perfect send-off to the series.

Rated PG-13 Running time: 115 minutes.

Kristen Stewart has cheated on Robert Pattinson! Shocked that this Twilight power-couple have come to this?

Stewart, 22, has apologized publicly for having an affair with Rupert Sanders, director of her film Snow White and the Huntsman.

Us Weekly published photographs of Stewart sharing some intimate moments with Sanders, 41, nearly 20 years her senior.

The two were spotted on July 17 in L.A. and the pics are everywhere.

Stewart released an apology, saying she is saddened that she has hurt her boyfriend of three years, Pattinson, 26.

“I’m deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I’ve caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I’m so sorry.”

The very married Sanders, who is also a father of two, released an apology of his own:

“I am utterly distraught about the pain I have caused my family.  My beautiful wife and heavenly children are all I have in this world. I love them with all my heart. I am praying that we can get through this together.”

Sanders is married to Liberty Ross, with whom he has two children ages 7 and 5.  Ross is a model and ironically she portrayed Stewart’s mother in Snow White and the Huntsman.

What was Stewart thinking? What was Sanders thinking?

RPatz must be heartbroken but surely he would have millions of women ready to console him!

What will happen to the stars of Twilight after Breaking Dawn wraps filming?

We have grown to love Edward, Bella and Jacob and the actors who portray them. Will Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart always be known for their roles in the Twilight saga?  Or will they be able to move onto other roles?

So far, it seems that Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson are set career-wise.  Both have been booked to shoot upcoming films after Breaking Dawn.

Robert Pattinson will be starring in David Cronenberg’s new film, Cosmopolis.  The movie is an adaptation of the novel by Don DeLillo and Pattinson will play “financial wunderkind” Eric Packer, who risks his entire fortune to bet against Japan’s yen on a tumultuous day.  The film will be “a drama that is a study of capitalism in a slightly futuristic metropolis.”

Lautner will be starring in Incarceron, adapted from a sci-fi novel about the attempt to escape from a savage, futuristic prison society.   He’ll also be starring in a spy thriller film based on the life of Juval Aviv, a former Israeli Mossad agent. It’s described as “The Bourne Identity for the ne,t generation”.

RPatz fans must be thrilled that his career will continue on post-Twilight.  But I wasn’t ever really concerned about a bright future ahead for Pattinson – with his acting ability and good looks, he’s sure to have a long career ahead.

Things look good for Lautner too.  It looks like he’s on his way of becoming an action star.

But what about Kristen Stewart?  Will she have a rosy future ahead?

Although she always seems awkward in interviews and lacks a bit of emotion in her acting, she already has films lined up.

KStew will be starring in the upcoming film On the Road with Garrett Hedlund, Sam Riley and Kristen Stewart and is set to star in K-11 which is currently in pre-production.

It’ll be interesting to see what will happen between Kristen and Rob… will they finally make their relationship public after the Breaking Dawn is in theatres?

In any case, it looks as though we’ll be seeing more of the three stars that teens and adults alike we’ve grown to love!
