On Thursday, April 7th, Kids’ CBC kicked off their first ever Twitter party, dubbed #kidscbc Tweetup.
The event was held online to connect with parents across the country to share their thoughts about children’s content, both online and on television.
A small group of mom (and one dad) blogger were also invited in-studio to hang out on the Kids CBC Caboose set.
Guests included Patty Sullivan, Anne-Marie Mediwake and Dwight Drummond of CBC Toronto news and later Steven and Chris joined us to make a fun Canadian Mocktail. The fabulous highlight of the day was meeting Yamma Mamma in person!
Yamma Mamma had a very important message to share:
Kim Wilson, Creative Head for Children’s and Youth Television at CBC, expressed the idea of creating a partnership with parents in hopes of building quality programming together.
New series in development are Napkin Man starring Ed Robertson from Barenaked Ladies and Monster Math Squad, a show about math skills, and a cool augmented reality show.
