The Toronto Blue Jays opened their 38th season with a sold-out Rogers Centre for the HONDA Home Opener on Friday, April 4, 2014 against the New York Yankees.
We were invited as guests of Honda Canada – it’s the first time the boys have ever been to a Blue Jays game, let alone a Home Opener! Sadly the Blue Jays lost to the New York Yankees 7-3 but we had a great time.
Fans received a Honda Home Opener Rally Towel to wave during the game to support the home team. One lucky baseball fan won a brand new 2014 Honda CR-V thanks to Honda Canada!
There were 48,197 people in attendance at the #HondaHomeOpener. Olympic medalists from Sochi 2014 made an appearance as well as Roy Halladay.
Great entertainment was also provided by a semi-streaker who went running into the fields, shirtless. He ran so fast, he could try out for the Blue Jays!
