Like most people, we have been spending most of our time at home thanks to Covid-19. A couple of years ago, we turned our unfinished basement into a usable living/entertaining space, third full bathroom, and storage area. It was a decision made because of the rising home prices in our area; to move to a slightly larger home would mean spending at least $100,000, not including realtor commissions and transfer fees. Staying put in a home and neighbourhood we love made the most sense.

Having two teen boys stomping around the main floor was not conducive to a calm and quiet working and remote learning environment. The boys and their father have taken over the “man cave”, while I’m quite content with my cozy family room/yoga space.

There are over 350 showrooms to improve your space, including kitchen and bathroom, basement, flooring, tiles, backsplashes, home décor and art, backyard landscaping and pools, custom furniture, general contractors, and interior designers all under one roof.

You can visit and browse at your leisure, but for a more personalized experience, the centre offers booking appointments for you so that you can have the best shopping trip, as well as due to Covid-19 restrictions and for safety purposes. Also, depending on when you are visiting, it’s best to book an appointment to ensure the showrooms are open and not busy with other scheduled visits.

When you call the customer service team, they will ask you questions about your needs and they will set you up with the best experts for your renovation.
