I suffer from eczema on my hand (extreme dryness) and feel self-conscious about it on my hands – I can’t imagine having rosacea on my face.
Rosacea is a chronic condition characterized by facial erythema (redness) and sometimes pimples. It has four subtypes, three affecting the skin and the fourth affecting the eyes (ocular type). Rosacea can worsen over time if left untreated.
This inflammatory skin condition affects over two million Canadians! April is Rosacea Awareness Month – and hopefully a new skin care product can help those affected.
Vancouver dermatologist Dr. Jason Rivers developed Riversol to help sufferers of rosacea and sensitive skin in general. Riversol is an effective over-the-counter skin care product which contains a key natural ingredient called beta-thujaplicin, a potent antioxidant derived from the Western Red Cedar tree. Riversol is the first product in North America to use this ingredient, which hasn’t been used before because of high costs of the process.
The combination of beta-thujaplicin, Vitamin C and Vitamin E calms the skin, reduces the appearance of redness, and improves clarity and texture while deeply hydrating the skin. I’m wondering if this cream would also be effective on my eczema, as it also can be used for sensitive and acne prone skin.
There are a number of triggers so it often can be difficult to pinpoint what is irritating the skin. Although there isn’t a cure for rosacea, Riversol has helped sufferers within three weeks. “Even better, many have indicated that they are no longer self-conscious about their skin,” said Dr. Rivers, who also is the president of the Acne & Rosacea Society of Canada, a non-profit organization formed to educate people about acne and rosacea.
I have used Riversol for almost a year now and am amazed at the results! I still have problems with pimples but Riversol keeps them at bay by removing redness from the Rosacea and clearing them up quickly. When I use the serum before bed I notice a huge noticeable difference overnight. I will never switch to another product because I know Riversol works the best for me. I have tried Proactiv and other “dermatologist recommended” products and they have only made my skin worse. For so long I was embarrassed to go out because even foundation wouldn’t completely cover the mess up. I’m happy to be able to purchase from a local business and the customer service is always amazing! ~ Carly Davies
We are giving away a sample kit of Riversol to one reader.
