Summertime is a time to escape the day-to-day with a good book. My plan is to have some down time this summer, and catch up on some good reads. I plan to open up Kobo anywhere this summer with the The Kobo Aura H2O – a waterproof, dustproof and anti-glare eReader that I can take to the beach, pool or splash park!
I can take the Kobo Aura H2O to the beach, to the bathtub, without worrying about dropping it in the bath or spilling a drink on it. No worries about the device getting wet, which is especially important during those summer months when you can suddenly get splashed by an unsuspecting water gun!
I don’t have to worry about getting sand on it either. The device is also dustproof, and anti-glare, which helps for reading outdoors on a sunny summer day.
My first read on the Kobo Aura H2O is Euphoria by Lily King. Set in 1930s Papua New Guinea, this novel is about three young, ground-breaking anthropologists caught in a love triangle that threatens their bonds, their careers and, ultimately, their lives.
Next on my list is The Weight of Blood by Laura McHugh, All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven, and I’ll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson.
Kobo Aura H2O Features
Perfect for a soak in the tub after a long summer day, or bring it into the hot tub, swimming pool or even the beach. The Kobo Aura H2O is IP67 certified, meaning it’s waterproof for up to 30 minutes in one metre of water with the port cover closed.
At 265 dpi, this eReader has a spacious 6.8” touchscreen offering a print-on-paper experience, showcasing text and high-resolution images beautifully. There are 10 fonts to choose front, and 24 sizes. You can customize and adjust font size and style to your preference.
As for the eReader storage, you won’t have to worry about counting the number of downloads. The Kobo Aura H2O has 4GB of onboard storage (expandable up to 32GB with a microSD card), so readers can easily store thousands of eBooks.
Also impressive is the battery life on the Kobo Aura H2O which can last up to two months. It’s great that you don’t have to charge it every day, like a mobile phone.
